•  - Hydrogen Innovation & Research Centre (DK)

Knowledge centre for hydrogen technology. Its purpose is to lay the foundations for rapid development of commercial exploitation of the technical research being conducted into hydrogen technologies. This is to be carried out in collaboration with universities, research institutes, educational establishments, public institutions and, in particular, the business community – both national and international. This will help to shorten the distance between knowledge and invoice.

•   - University of Iceland (IS)

Based on the University of Iceland experience in hydrogen research the energy companies and institutions of Iceland established a spin-off company from the University of Iceland in 1998.A considerable interest within the Icelandic research community is on utilising geothermal energy for hydrogen production and utilisation. To this end various experimental works are ongoing in the area of hydrogensulfide from geothermal boreholes using chemical methods to produce pure hydrogen or modified solid oxide fuel cells directly on the hydrogen rich borehole gas coming directly from the ground. The background for such hydrogen is steam-iron like processes deep down close to the magma chambers. Such geothermal use of fuel cells has a great interest in Iceland.

     

•   - ISR University of Coimbra (PT)

ISR-UC is a Research & Development institute of the University of Coimbra. It promotes the penetration of advanced energy-efficient technologies through innovative projects, demonstration, education, training, dissemination, energy monitoring, energy audits, and design of energy policies, in collaboration with the utilities, local and regional authorities, industry, building operators, and gas and electricity utilities.

•   - Aalborg University  (DK)

Aalborg University cooperates at national and international levels the basis of a global approach with the purpose of producing, developing and disseminating knowledge of scientific methods and achievements. Aalborg University participates in a great number of private and public, local, national and international collaborations, networks, associations, partnerships etc. at different levels in various areas of education and research. Various departments and research centres at Aalborg University collaborate with other partners of specific interest to their scientific areas.

 

•   - Fundación CENER CIEMAT (ES)

CENER is the “National Renewable Energy Centre”. It is a National technological centre specialized in renewable energies. It is integrated in the CENER – CIEMAT Foundation, and was created to encourage both research and the development of renewable energies. CENER joins applied research with high advanced technical services, mainly in the areas of wind energy, photovoltaic solar energy, biomass energy, bioclimatic architecture and power electronics. CENER is a non profit organization with public partners and with a high endowment capacity.

•   - Energy Research Centre of the Netherlands (NL)

The Energy research Centre of the Netherlands, the largest research centre in the Netherlands in the field of energy centre, carries out research in the field of energy. With this work the researchers move between fundamental research at universities and appliance of knowledge and technologies in practice. With this the institute exerts an important function for the society of today and tomorrow.

•   - Dong Energy (DK)

Dong Energy, is involved in developing technologies for the production of methanol and ethanol based on non-food renewable energy (wind, lignin-celluloses and waste-fraction from households and industry) on power station, where production is integrated with heat and power production.

•   - IRD Fuel Cells A/S (DK)  

IRD Fuel Cells A/S, is involved in different national activities in cooperation with universities and industries related to various aspects of fuel cells (mainly PEM, DMFC, and SOFC) ranging from R&D on FC materials and MEA (Membrane Electrolyte Assemblies) development, through design and construction of FC stacks and systems. The IRD manufacturing programmes include at present PEM stack modules, converters for power supply and automotive applications, electronic systems for plant balance, and BoP (Balance-of-Plant) for fuel processors.

•  - Dantherm Power A/S (DK)

Dantherm, is collaborating with universities, technical institutes and other interested parties (networking) mostly on research with focus on commercialization of the fuel cell/hydrogen technologies. Dantherm is involved in different national activities related to the fuel cell technology, e.g. design and control of household CHP fuel cell system and design of functional nano-materials.

Sustainable energy

We have our focus on sustainable energy solutions. Denmark belongs to the world leaders in renewable energy technologies. Our aim is promoting of the available state-of-the-art technology in Poland. In particular we focus on transfer of knowledge from Denmark to Poland through cross border partnership, cooperation and through participation in international projects, involving all interested parties: universities, knowledge centre’s, companies and local authorities.

• 

- KIBZ-Kompetenz - und Innovationszentrum Brennstoffzelle der Region Stuttgart (DE)

KIBZ, is active in an evolving national project, using an MTU-MCFC (“hot module”), converting biogas of a municipal fermenter into heat and electricity. Besides KIBZ is actively working on the hydrogen infrastructure topic to make demonstration projects and niches work (e. g. APU for caravans, additional power for solar boats), and KIBZ is assembling expert groups in order to reduce costs for components as well as the fuel cell system(s). For the Stuttgart Region Economic Development Corporation KIBZ is working in a network to make use of the existing biomass in this densely populated area, which so far has resulted in some biogas facilities on farms. There the emphasis is especially on the use of the “by-product” heat.
